National average for gas prices drop
(CNN)– Gas prices are inching lower. AAA says the current national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline could reach the $3 mark for the first time in four years.
In the past week, the average has dropped more than five cents a gallon to $3.05.
In South Carolina, the average price for gas is $2.69 a gallon.
The travel agency says several factors are behind the drop including lower demand, falling crude oil prices, and a cheaper Winter-blend gas at the pump.
