Sumter County Drug Unit arrest man for multiple charges

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit has arrested a man on multiple drug-related charges, says the sheriff’s dept.

Law enforcement say Celestino Anthony Gonzalez, Jr., was arrested on Thursday morning, October 16, after the drug unit executed a search warrant on his Coachman Drive home.

Also, the sheriff’s office says evidence was collected and Gonzalez was taken into custody.

Gonzalez was served five arrest warrants and is being held at the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center under a surety bond of $35,000.

Charges:

  • Trafficking in cocaine
  • Manufacture, distribution, and possession of narcotics
  • Possession of weapon during violent crime
  • Possession of firearm by person convicted of violent felony
  • Possession of firearm by person convicted of certain crimes
