Eastbound section of Whaley Street to be closed after garbage truck stuck under train trestle
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police say the Eastbound section of Whaley Street will be closed for several days after a garbage truck got stuck under a train trestle.
Police say after consulting with Norfolk Southern engineers, only the westbound lane will remain open to traffic.
On Thursday, Oct. 23, the intersections of Assembly at Whaley & Whaley & Main were temporarily closed due to a garbage truck getting stuck under a train trestle on Whaley Street.
No injuries were reported.
