Kershaw County coroner identifies pedestrian hit by vehicle

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Kershaw County Coroner David West has identified the pedestrian that was killed after a hit-and-run on Thursday, said the coroner’s office.

According to Kershaw County Coroner David West, 911 received a call at around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, about a person who was hit by a vehicle.

The incident happened at 1012 West Dekalb Street in front of Wendy’s fast food restaurant.

Coroner David West said, the deceased person was identified as 57-year-old Joseph Hudson from the Camden the area.

Hudson was pronounced dead at the scene.
