Columbia Police: University of South Carolina student survives after being hit by CSX train

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police say a University of South Carolina student survived after being hit by a CSX train on Saturday afternoon.

It took place in the 600 block of Blossom Street. A witness reported seeing the student walking along the tracks at the time.

He suffered multiple injuries and is being treated at a local hospital. Police say CSX is assisting with the investigation.
