United Way of Kershaw County asking for donations

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The United Way of Kershaw County is asking for help as some families in the community will not be receiving federal assistance next month.

Officials say the United Way Mobile Nutrition Center needs canned goods and shelf stable items that any one or group can donate directly.

They are also asking for funds to be able to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables to provide healthy options throughout the county.

According to the United Way of Kershaw County, about 10% of the county’s residents receive some amount of financial assistance with supplement to their food budget.
