Fairfield Co. coroner identifies person dead after ATV accident

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Fairfield County Coroner Chris Hill is releasing the name of the person who was involved in an ATV accident on Saturday.

The ATV accident happened on Saturday, October 25, at Carolina Adventure World in the Mitford area of Fairfield County.

According to Coroner Hill, 28-year-old Larissa Cubas from Charlotte was operating an ATV at Carolina Adventure World in the Mitford area of Fairfield County when the ATV rolled over and landed on her, pinning her underneath.

Emergency medical crews were at the scene and tended to Cubas who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

An autopsy has been scheduled with Newberry Pathology.

The accident continues to be investigated by the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office.
