Irmo police arrest former school official for second time

Irmo, S.C. (WOLO)–Irmo police say a former school official is facing charges for the second time this year.

Investigators say Sulaymaan Benoit was charged today in connection with an alleged sexual assault of a minor child attending Green Charter School of the Midlands’ after-school program between August ’23 and May ’24.

Police say he is charged with 1st Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor.

He was previously arrested in February on 8 counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the 3rd degree.

According to investigators, the incidents took place at the Green Charter School of the Midlands where Benoit was employed at the time.
