New Cuban restaurant opens in the Midlands

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– There’s a new spot for Cuban cuisine in the Midlands.

Friday afternoon, October 31, Mayor Daniel Rickenmann and other city officials were on hand to cut the ribbon for Cuban Corner.

Cuban Corner was founded by a Cuban family who came to the United States seeking political asylum.

Owners say what began as a tent at the Soda City Market is now a dream come true.

Cuban Corner is located at 1212 Hampton Street.
