Gamecocks return to basketball Hall of Fame Showcase in 2026
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s basketball will play UConn in the 13th annual Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase on Nov. 24, 2026, at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced today. Tickets for the event will go on sale in September 2026.
The Gamecocks and Huskies have accounted for four of the last eight NCAA National Championships, including three for South Carolina. The two perennial powers have played at least once in each of the last 11 seasons, including a 5-3 edge for the Gamecocks over the last six seasons. They have met twice in the NCAA National Championship game, splitting the two victories.
South Carolina has played in the Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase previously, posting a 78-69 win over No. 11 Utah on Dec. 10, 2023.
The Gamecocks previously announced their participation in the 2026 Oui Play event, facing Maryland on Nov. 2 at Adidas Arena in Paris.
No. 2/2 South Carolina continues its three-game homestand on Fri., Nov. 7, when Bowling Green comes to Colonial Life Arena for a 7 p.m. tipoff that will stream on SEC Network+. The Gamecocks wrap up the season-opening stretch with an in-state showdown with rival Clemson on Tue., Nov. 11, at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.
