Veterans Day events in the Midlands

 

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Tuesday, November 11, is Veteran Day across the U.S. and right here in the Midlands places are holding celebrations.

City of Columbia 47th Annual Veterans Day Parade:

The parade begins at the intersection of Sumter Street and Laurel Street on Tuesday, November 11, at 11 a.m.

 

Fini Flight Ceremony for 2LT Jimmie L. “Jim” Hamilton:’

There will be a ceremony honoring the Korean War-era aviator at Celebrate Freedom Foundation Hangar in West Columbia (2533 Airport Blvd) on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 12:30 p.m.

 

Town of Irmo Veterans Day Ceremony:

The Town of Irmo is holding a ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at  Irmo Veterans Park, Palmetto Wood Parkway to honor local veterans.

 

La Isla Bonita Restaurant:

Puerto Rican restaurant La Isla Bonita is paying tribute to all veterans at the restaurant on 1701 Percival Road at 11 a.m.

 

Sumter County Veterans Day Parade:

Sumter County is hosting a Veterans Day Parade that begins at Main and Bartlette streets, and ends at the Sumter County Courthouse on Tuesday, November 11.

The parade is 10 a.m., and the ceremony begins at 11 a.m. on the front lawn of the courthouse.
