City of Columbia revises clear-bag policy for Finlay Park reopening

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– After some community backlash, the City of Columbia has updated its clear-bag policy for the new and improved Finlay Park.

Monday, Nov. 10, the city announced the clear-bag policy remains in place.

However there will be exceptions including wristlets, small purses, and medical or diaper bags.

Items like backpacks, tote bags, and luggage will still be prohibited unless they are clear.

The grand re-opening of Finlay Park will take place this Saturday, Nov. 15.
