Young customers ditch fast-food casual food

(CNN)– Some restaurant chains are going through a lean period financially speaking.

That includes Cava, Chipotle and Sweetgreen, which have all recently reported a drop in sales from younger customers.

They say people between 25 and 35 years old are saving money by cutting back on going to fast-casual restaurants.

Analysts say these consumers are either packing lunches or going to fast food restaurants which often have larger discounts.

Experts say these restaurants could rebound once the country gets back into better shape.
