Typical day for Midlands player turns into $2 million win

CHAPIN, S.C. (WOLO)– A typical day turned into one a Midlands woman says she’ll never forget when she won $2 million on a lottery ticket.

The winner says she was getting gas when she thought about buying a scratch-off at the Rainbow Mart on Columbia Avenue in Chapin.

“Wow!” was her reaction to the windfall.

The winner beat the 1 in 1,080,000 odds in the Double Up! game.

Lottery officials say one more top prize of $2 million remains in the game.
