ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says a Holly Hill man has been charged with the fatal October drive-by shooting that left one dead.

Abion Brown, 23, has been charged with the murder of 28-year-old Jordan Walters.

The sheriff says the Fourwind Road man was taken into custody on Monday, Nov. 17.

Investigators were called to a Gabby Hall Court home in Holly Hill on October 19, where the victim was located.

Witnesses told law enforcement a white vehicle had passed the victim’s car as it traveled on Gabby Hall Court, and the occupant fired a weapon as it went by.

“This makes no sense at all, it’s just a senseless act that resulted in someone losing their life. Nothing on earth can justify this, one killed and one throwing his life away,” the sheriff states.

Brown was expected to make a court appearance Tuesday afternoon where he would be formally presented his rights.
