Three killed in overnight collision on Broad Street in Sumter

SUMTER CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Highway Patrol says three people were killed in a two vehicle collision overnight.
It happened at midnight on Broad Street near Copley Drive.
According to investigators, a 2021 Subaru Sedan was travelling east on Broad Street and a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer was travelling north on Copley Drive when they both collided with each other.
The Subaru driver died on scene and both occupants of the Trailblazer also died.
The Sumter County Coroner’s Office is working on identifying the victims.
This incident remains under investigation by Highway Patrol.
