RCSD: Man arrested after entering mosque with gun

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– RCSD says a man was arrested after entering a mosque early November and disturbing it during worship time.
Investigators say they were notified about an incident on Sunday Nov. 9, at a local Midlands mosque.
The man is accused of entering a mosque around 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon while carrying an AR–15 rifle during prayer time.
Surveillance video showed that after he entered the mosque he engaged some children and began showing them the weapon.
On Thurs, Nov. 20, a man named Adam White went to the sheriff’s department and acknowledged that he was the person in the picture that investigators released on Weds, Nov. 19 to the public.
Law enforcement says he confessed to the incident.
White, 29, was arrested on Nov. 20, and charged with disturbance of place of worship; aggravated breach of peace and pointing and presenting.
He was booked into the Alvin S. Glen Detention Center.
