Orangeburg man’s charges upgraded after arrest in connection with drive-by shooting

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The charges against an Orangeburg man have been upgraded to murder, says the sheriff’s office.

According to Sheriff Leroy Ravenell, 18-year-old Jaden Ferguson was originally charged with attempted murder in connection with a drive-by shooting that happened on November 17.

The victim who was identified as 21-year-old Kyree Walker has since died.

And Ferguson was formally presented his rights at a hearing on Tuesday, November 25.
