Phones could pose health risk for kids

(CNN)– When deciding whether to buy younger children a smart phone, you might want to consider a newly released study.

A journal “pediatrics” report found getting a smart phone at a younger age could put children at a higher risk of health complications.

The study which looked at more than 10,000 12-year-olds indicates kids who get phones at a young age are more likely to face obesity, depression, and insufficient sleep.

Many experts suggest parents wait to give their children phones until they are older.
