Modelo, Corona sales impacted by immigration crackdown

(CNN)– President Trump’s immigration crackdown is impacting the sales of two popular beer brands.

Constellation Brands, the U.S. owner of Modelo Especial and Corona pull heavily from the Latino market living stateside.

But research shows that market has been hit hard by Trump’s deportation push.

Modelo has lost its top-selling beer spot to Michelob Ultra, and Constellation’s sales have plunged.

Its stock is down nearly 40% just this year.

Research points to the changing consumer habits of Constellation’s Latino customers.
