SC Department of Public Health confirms eight new cases of measles in the Upstate outbreak
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The SC Department of Public Health announced eight new cases of measles in the Upstate outbreak.
The additional cases bring the total number of cases since the outbreak began to 84.
Officials say seven of the new cases are people who live with others who were already sick.
They are working to determine the source of the additional case.
As always, Department of Public Health officials say vaccination continues to be the best way to prevent measles, and stop the outbreak.
