Woman working at treatment center accused of abuse of a vulnerable adult

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A woman working at a treatment center for those with mental illness is accused of abuse of a vulnerable adult.

Investigators with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) say on July 2nd, 22-year-old Kaitlyn Davis hit the victim with her fists and elbows.

At the time, SLED says Davis was working as a direct support professional for the Midlands Regional Center where the victim was a resident.

Investigators say following the alleged attack, the victim required medical attention.

Davis was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
