More Americans say finances are worse
(CNN)– A rising number of Americans are concerned about their wallets and bank accounts.
That’s according to the latest survey of consumer expectations from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Researchers found a sharp increase in the percentage of people who describe their overall finances to be worse to much worse now compared to this time last year.
They say this financial pessimism has risen to a level not seen since April of this year.
That’s around the same time the Trump Administration escalated its tariff policies.
