CAE completes checkpoint expansion project

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– If your holiday travel takes you through the airport you’ll see changes at Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE).

The airport has announced the completion of their checkpoint expansion project.

It focused on widening the screening checkpoint from two lanes to four.

In addition to the checkpoint widening, CAE will also be including a lounge for passengers to use before their flights.

CAE staff say travel at the airport has increased since the pandemic.
