Local Living: Town of Eastover, Breakfast with Santa, Winter Sparkfest, Santa Paws is Coming to Town, Run Your Socks Off 5K

 

 

 

LOCAL LIVING: COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In tonight’s look at Local Living, we look at some of the holiday happenings around the Midlands.

The Town of Eastover is hosting their annual Christmas parade this weekend.

The parade starts at noon this Saturday, Dec. 13,  at the Eastover Town Hall on Main Street.

You and the family can enjoy several types of parade floats, food-vendors, and more.

Plus it’s free to attend.

 

The Richland County Recreation Commission says you can have Breakfast with Santa this weekend.

The morning meal with Jolly Ole Saint Nick is this Saturday, Dec. 13, from 9 a.m. till noon at Spotlight Cinemas Capital 8.

For just $5 you and the family can enjoy food, creating crafts, watching a Christmas movie and even get pictures with Santa.

 

Don’t forget about the Winter Sparkfest Shines Bright charity event hosted by 14-year-old CEO Jaiden Bostic.

The fundraiser will take place from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. next weekend December 19 and December 20 at 739 Old Clemson Road.

For $5 you can enjoy some live music, food vendors, and appearances from community leaders and youth organizations.

All the money raised will go to  local charities with a goal of raising $5,000.

 

If your looking to get a furry four legged friend this Christmas, Columbia Animal Services is the place for you.

They are holding their Santa Paws is Coming to Town event through the whole month of December.

During the event adoptions fees for all pets are just $25.

 

The Love Like Alissa Foundation is hosting their Run Your Socks Off 5K event this weekend.

It takes place on Saturday, December 13 in Newberry.

The run will raise money for a scholarship to be given to a Mid-Carolina volley ball senior pursuing higher education.
