Report: DHS to buy fleet of jets for deportation flights

(CNN)– The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is buying its own jets to speed up deportations.

The Washington Post reports the department signed a contract worth nearly $140 million to purchase six Boeing 737 planes.

Previously immigration authorities have relied on charter planes for deportation flights.
