Additional law enforcement at two Midlands schools

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police say additional officers are on the campuses of Eau Claire High School and Dreher High School.

Officials say it is a precaution following a threat of violence Tuesday morning.

Police say at this time everyone is safe and they are working with Richland School Dist. One to coordinate  safety efforts.

Police say they are urging parents and guardians to encourage their children to report suspicious activity or knowledge of a perceived threat to police and school officials.
