Powerball jackpot rises to $1.5 billion

(CNN)– Powerball’s jackpot is approaching its highest of the year.

No one won yet again last night (Wednesday, Dec. 17).

That means the estimated pot for Saturday’s drawing is estimated to hit one and half billion dollars.

The record for the year is nearly $1.79 billion.

Still, a single winner would get way more money because that jackpot was split between two tickets.

No matter how big the pot gets, the odds of winning stay the same.

A staggering 1 out of 292 million.
