40-year-old arrested on charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson says a 40-year-old man was arrested on charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor.

Kenneth Lenard Norton, of West Columbia, was arrested on December 22 on eight charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor.

A CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) led investigators to Norton.

Investigators state Norton distributed and possessed files of child sexual abuse material.

He was charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor-second degree (§16-15-405) which is a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.

Also, he is being charged on five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree (§16-15-410) which is a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.
