Lexington Co. coroner identifies person killed in collision

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Lexington County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a person killed in a collision earlier this week.

Investigators say on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, 78-year-old Cheryl Deichmann was driving west on Old Chapin Road when she hit an oncoming car.

Officials say she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.

She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

SC Highway Patrol is investigating.
