2026 forecasted to be cheapest year for gas
(CNN)– Gasbuddy predicts the average price for a gallon of regular gas will be $2.97 in 2026.
That would be the first year below $3 since 2020.
It would mark four straight years of falling prices.
Gasbuddy is making the prediction despite ongoing uncertainty in oil-rich Venezuela.
As of this morning, gas prices in South Carolina have risen nearly four cents per gallon, now averaging at $2.47 per gallon.
