Pedestrian killed after Sunday night collision

 

 

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO)– The SC Highway Patrol is investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed in Sumter last night.

Troopers say just after 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan.4, a pedestrian was struck and killed while lying in the road on US-378 near US-401 north of Sumter.

Investigators say the victim was hit by a 2021 Toyota Corolla.

No charges have been filed in this incident at this time.
