Pedestrian killed in collision on US-378 in Sumter

SUMTER CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Highway Patrol says a pedestrian is dead following a collision Sunday night.
It happened on US-378 at US-401 at 6:08 p.m.
According to Lance Corporal Brittany Glover, the pedestrian was lying in the westbound lane of US-378 when they were struck by a 2012 Toyota Corolla.
The pedestrian died on scene while no one in the Corolla was hurt.
The Sumter County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s identity as of yet as the investigation continues.
