Happy birthday Wheel of Fortune

(CNN)– Happy birthday Wheel of Fortune.

The popular game show premiered on this date in 1975, and  was created by TV Legend Merv Griffin.

Pat Sajak and Vanna White began hosting it in the early 1980’s and became some of the most popular hosts in the history of game shows.

The show went on to become one of longest-running syndicated game shows in American TV history, and one of the most popular TV shows in the world.

The show has aired more than 65,000 episodes and you can watch Wheel of Fortune right here on ABC Columbia, weeknights at 7 p.m.
