2026 King Day at the Dome at the State House this month

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The NAACP South Carolina State Conference is bringing the community together for the annual King Day at the Dome event.

On Monday, January 19, the prayer service starts at 8 a.m. at the Zion Baptist Church, 801 Washington Street.

The march to the State House will start around 9:30 and the King Day rally starts at 10.

Curtis spoke with SC NAACP Historian Dr. James Felder about how this event honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy he left behind.

U.S. Sen. Cory Booker will be the keynote speaker, with appearances from Sen. Tameika Isaac Devine, former DNC chair Jaime Harrison and more.
