Apple, Google team up for Ai Siri

(CNN)– Apple is teaming up with Google to power artificial intelligence for the iPhone.

Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, the two tech giants announced a deal that lets Apple use Google’s Gemini Ai model to support its updated version of Siri.

The move could help give apple more time to work on its own Ai development plan which has had delays.

Apple has also partnered with Open Ai to use Chat-GPT to power some Ai features.

However, the deal for now puts Gemini at the center of Apple’s future Ai strategy.

Apple is planning on releasing the updated version of Siri powered by Gemini later this year.
