SCDOT to close and detour Lakeshore Drive bridge

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– SCDOT will close and detour the Lakeshore Drive bridge over Tributary to Forest Lake in Richland County for repairs, say officials.

Repairs will begin January 20, 2026, and the bridge is expected to reopen on January 30, 2026.

As part of the closure a detour route has been set up.

Lakeshore Drive will be open to local traffic only, except at the bridge site, says SC Dept. of Transportation.

SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
