Former SC Rep. RJ May sentenced to prison

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– On Wednesday, Jan. 14 in federal court former South Carolina Representative RJ May was sentenced.

May was sentenced to 210 months (17.5 years) in prison after pleading guilty to five counts of distributing child sexual abuse material.

Prosecutors pointed out that May advocated for harsher punishments for pedophiles while he was in office.

Authorities say May sent hundreds of videos to pedophiles across 18 states and 6 countries over the Kik app while using the screen name: JoeBiden69.
