Inflation picked up speed in November

(CNN)– Inflation picked up for U.S. producers in November.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says rising energy prices largely fueled the .2% jump from October.

November’s numbers came late due to delays from the government shutdown in 2025.

October data also show the Producer Price Index rose .1% during that month.

The PPI tracks prices producers receive for their goods on the wholesale market.

It is frequently seen as a predictor of what consumers may see in the months ahead.
