Clutch Coffee Bar to close all locations Friday following Dutch Bros. acquisition
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Clutch Coffee Bar announces it’s closing all its locations in the Carolinas this Friday.
Officials say they will close its doors at 4 p.m. as the company prepares for a transition.
This comes after Dutch Bros. Coffee acquired the North Carolina-based drive-through chain.
Clutch’s Founder & CEO Darren Spicer, who created the company in 2018, had this to say about the acquisition:
This was not a decision made lightly—rather, it comes from a place of deep pride in what we’ve built together, and a belief that this next step will allow the culture, energy, and community-first spirit you helped create continue to grow on an even bigger stage.
