Kershaw Co. Sheriff held press conference about arrest of 3 people
KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference at 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, to update the public on three recent arrests.
Sheriff Lee Boan provided details regarding a recent search warrant and the arrests of three people that was connected to an investigation of a rape incident.
The individuals are charged in connection with multiple offenses, including criminal sexual conduct 1st, trafficking cocaine, and unlawful possession of firearms.
The sheriff’s office also stated that deputies are searching for a fourth person in connection with the rape incident.
Investigators say the rape occurred in Sumter County, but the victim went to a hospital in another county.
Sumter County Sheriff’s Office has teams up with Immigrations, and Customs (ICE) on the case.
Three of the men were arrested after deputies served a search warrant in the 2500 block of Fort Jackson Road in Kershaw County.
