SC State flag celebrating HBCU national title hangs atop State House

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– There are three flags flying atop the State House on Monday, Jan. 19, 2026.

The South Carolina State University flag is flying along side the U.S. and state flags.

The flag is there in celebration of the bulldogs HBCU Football National Championship.

A parade will be held this Wednesday, Jan. 22 to celebrate the team’s accomplishment.

Congratulations to the Bulldogs!
