RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says no deputies will be charged following the arrest of Maxie Outen.
The arrest was captured on the television show On-Patrol Live.
Sheriff Lott says the department’s Citizens Advisory Council reviewed all of the information related to the arrest including body cam and dash cam videos.
And according to the sheriff, the council recommended additional training on de-escalation and use of force policy.
In the December arrest deputies say Outen refused to get out of the car when deputies found drugs which lead to the confrontation.
