UPS, Amazon cut thousands of jobs

(CNN)– UPS says it’s cutting up to 30,000 jobs.

The New York Times reports the company expects to deliver fewer Amazon packages this year.

UPS says it will reduce staff through attrition, and voluntary separation offers for full-time drivers.

UPS has said it wants to reduce its work with Amazon saying the partnership is largely unprofitable.

And speaking of Amazon they are laying off 16,000 employees.

It cites a need to be nimble to increase decision-making speed around Ai.

The cuts follow 14,000 others in October.
