CPD: Missing endangered elderly man found safe

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Columbia Police says Rufus Morant was found safe after being reported as missing a few days ago.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Columbia Police need your help to find an endangered elderly man who went missing Wednesday.

According to investigators, Rufus Morant, 74, was last seen Wednesday morning at a care facility at 7901 Farrow Road.

Police say Morant has medical ailments requiring constant care.

Officers add that while he doesn’t have direct family ties in Columbia, he is familiar with the downtown area.
