Columbia-native Coco Jones shines on Super Bowl stage

(AP)– The Midlands was more than well-represented in last night’s Super Bowl.

In addition to the former Gamecocks on the field, Grammy Award Winning Singer Songwriter and Columbia-native Coco Jones performed ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’ prior to last night’s big game.

The song, known as the Black National Anthem has been performed prior to the Super Bowl every year since 2021.
