Newberry Police: 2 women taken to hospital after shooting

NEWBERRY, S.C. (WOLO)– Newberry Police say two women were shot Friday, Feb. 6 just before midnight.

Officers say the shooting took place on Jefferson Street.

Both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police say 22-year-old suspect Zah’kee Clark, from Chapin was taken into custody and charged in connection with the shooting.

Police Chief Kevin Goodman says additional arrests may be forthcoming.
