Richland County Fire Marshals investigating 2nd fire at apartment complex

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Richland County Fire Marshals Office is investigating a second fire this month at a Midlands apartment complex.

Officials say just before 6 on Wednesday morning, Feb. 11, 2026, they responded to Bent Tree Apartments on Bent Tree Road to a fire in the apartments’ leasing office building.

No injuries were reported.

Officials say the fire is suspicious in nature as there were signs that someone broke into the building.

There is video from a fire at the same complex earlier this month.

That fire is also under investigation.
