Lexington Medical Center held community stress break

(CNN)– You could say there was a bit of puppy love going around this afternoon.

Lexington Medical Center hosted a therapy dog stress break for community and staff to go by the hospital and pet therapy dogs on Fri, Feb. 13.

According to the American Heart Association, having a dog around may help reduce a person’s risk for cardiovascular disease.

They also say the risk of depression and high blood pressure also decreases by having man’s best friend.

All of the dogs are certified therapy dogs that regularly visit patients across Lexington Medical Center.
