No Peach Festival in ’26
Gilbert, S.C. (WOLO)– One of the Midlands most endearing traditions will not go forward in 2026.
Friday officials with the Lexington County Peach Festival announced the festival will not be held this year.
In a statement posted on its website, officials with the Gilbert Community Club said the difficult decision was made after it was determined many of its members will be attending the 250th anniversary celebration of our nation’s founding in Washington, D.C.
For 65 years the Lexington County Peach Festival has been a fixture of the Fourth of July festivities in the Midlands.
